Dear Parents & Carers of Children with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities,
Please find below, information received today from Staffordshire’s ‘Aiming High’ team:
A variety of activities are available for 0-18’s with a Special Educational Need/Disability (SEND) and their families who live in Staffordshire.
Young people up to the age of 25 can also take part in some of our activities (if they have an Education, Health and Care Plan and are not accessing support from Adult Social Care services).
- Activities include trips out, sports, youth clubs, outdoor activities and much more!
- Some activities are open to the whole family while others are designed for children and young people to attend independently. Some of our Providers can also offer support with personal care and medication.
- Children and young people can access a set amount of FREE activities each month (usually 1 a month with extra during school holidays). Families wishing to access additional activities can do so by making a financial contribution towards the cost of activities.
- Support to access activities and achieve specific goals is also available from our Moving Forward (Lifeskills) programme which is open to 11-25 year olds.
