Dear Children, Parents & Carers,
During our ‘Rights Respecting School’ assembly this afternoon, the children have been learning about ‘Black History Month’ which is held every October.
We had a wonderful discussion about the importance of these celebrations and got to explore the impact of Rosa Parks on the civil rights movement in the US.
Unfortunately, we didn’t get to finish our fantastic discussions and so I have asked the teachers to continue this learning before the end of October.
